He our cosy vacation on Koh Samui are over! Yes, Marcel’s back is almost healed: they finally declared his wound bacteria free 2 days ago and sewed him up. So now we only need to find a clinic to get this cleaned up every 2-3 days and if all goes well in 7-10 days get the stitches removed. Tadaaa!

Pauvre Marcel, being on an island at the beach and not being able to swim….what a bummer! And now we’re moving on….to no swimming possibilities land. Oh well. Did I mention we should be going to Bali in October? He can catch up there 🙂

So tomorrow at 14h30 a bus should pick us up to take us to the pier, we’ll hop on the ferry, on the other side we get back on the bus and recline our seats for the 12 hours ride to Bangkok. Once we arrive there at 05h00 we then need to get on a taxi or tuck-tuck to the station and try to catch the 05h50 eastbound train; if this doesn’t work then we’ll need to get to the eastern bus station and get a bus for the 4h30 ride to the Cambodian border. You see we can’t really miss this one, our visa expires on the 30th…. Not that the Thais care so much actually: if you overstay your visa you just pay 500Bat per day, but still, we’d rather not push our luck.

This all means: we’re back on the road! Final destination: (another 8-10 hours bus ride after the border crossing) Angkor!
